Dick Bellamy Remembered -- Salute, 1999

After my show of Tectonic Portraits at Art Galaxy, Barabara Flynn's gallery, I decided to change the scale of my portraits and made a series of large 7 x 6' portraits. I started making the undulating surface of the sign wave material of fiberglass. While slightly sculptural my work has always been about painting and exploring different techniques used to make illusions of images.
