Dick Bellamy Remembered -- Dick and Barbara, 1986

This picture of Dick and Barabara was part of a group of portraits in my undulating Wave Series. The paintings were painted on paper and then scored and mounted on a wire grid screen and then bent, creating a curved surface, slightly warping the image. These works were hung in a continuous group like a string of DNA. Contours of the brain, of the ocean surface, water and the fragility of memory were the inspiration for these pictures.
